A comprehensive catalogue featuring a range of exhibits illustrating the highly developed religious and cultural life of the Benedictine order in Central Europe in the early Middle Ages.

The exhibition was held in the Waldstein Riding Gallery and organised by the National Gallery in Prague, together with the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and Charles University, Prague. The project was supported by the Metropolitan Chapter of St Vitus’ Cathedral in Prague, the National Museum and Prague Castle Administration.

The exhibition won the Gloria Musealis award for the most important exhibition of 2014 and attracted international attention.
